Thank You for Supporting Denim Day at Clarkson

Dear Clarkson Community,

On behalf of the Denim Day Planning Committee, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Denim Day. Your support and engagement helped make this important day a meaningful and impactful experience across our campus.

What is Denim Day?
Denim Day is a global movement to raise awareness about sexual assault and to stand in solidarity with survivors. Originating in response to a court ruling that overturned a sexual assault conviction based on the survivor’s clothing, Denim Day encourages individuals to wear denim as a visible statement against victim-blaming and in support of education and prevention efforts. We are proud to have seen our community come together for this cause — #CUinDenim!

We are deeply grateful to our faculty, staff, and students for their active and passive participation, whether by attending events, wearing denim, spreading awareness, or taking time for personal reflection. Every action contributed to fostering a culture of support, education, and advocacy at Clarkson.

Thank you for standing together in support of survivors and for promoting awareness about the impact of sexual violence. We look forward to continuing these conversations and efforts throughout the next year.

Sincerely,
The Denim Day Planning Committee
