Assistant Counsel (Latham, NY)

Position Summary: The incumbent shall provide legal advice and counsel necessary and desirable to serve the University’s legal interest. Provide legal interpretation or opinion, establish mechanisms and follow steps to maintain awareness of current developments in the area of law and education. Advise top administrators and staff on matters of legal concern; inform individual employees and/or entire departments of potential practices that may lead to individual or institutional liability. Recommend the implementation, creation or revision of policies and procedures as needed. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:  J.D. from an American Bar Association accredited law school and a licensed attorney in the State of New York with at least three (3) years of full-time relevant legal experience.

Range: $100,000- $150,000 salary based on experience

Position Summary: Teach undergraduate courses (labs and lectures) in Biochemistry I and II and specialized courses in the area of expertise (e.g. Forensic chemistry, Food Chemistry, Biochemistry for Life Sciences).

Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials (or related areas). One year teaching in an undergraduate university setting.

Range: $75,000- $115,000 based on experience

Director of Construction and Facilities (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Manage the operation, maintenance and repair, cleaning, and upkeep of University facilities, grounds, major utility systems, heating plant, planning repair of existing academic, administrative, athletic and auxiliary enterprise facilities on multiple campuses, recycling and solid waste management, automobile fleet, and the equipment and personnel necessary to support these responsibilities.

Lead a Facilities operations unit focused on customer service. Create and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the maintenance and improvement of the University’s physical plant and related services with an emphasis on customer service and proactive communication with the customers of the facilities operations. Oversee resources for the implementation and utilization of asset management tools for all decisions made regarding deferred/planned maintenance projects. Direct oversight of Capital Projects team.

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and management of major facilities and campuses with complex administrative systems.

Range: $140,000- $165,000 salary based on experience

Admission Counselor (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Manage an assigned geographic territory to recruit a diverse, qualified, and talented group of students to the college. Interview and evaluate prospective students. Serve as part of a team of representatives of Clarkson University participating in all aspects of enrollment management; perform duties that contribute to the attraction, recruitment, selection and enrollment of a freshman class based on stated policies, procedures and goals of the University.

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from accredited College or University. Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University.

Range: $20.00- $22.50 salary based on experience

Visiting Research Associate (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Synthesis of abrasive particles, surface modification, formulation of CMP slurry, and development of post-CMP cleaning solution on grant-funded research through multiple industries. The role also includes analyzing process data to assess trends, determine statistical significance of experimental findings, and generate models that support slurry formulation.

Minimum qualifications:  A master in Chemical, Mechanical, Applied Data, and Materials engineering is required.

Range: $30,000 salary based on experience

Per Diem Campus Safety & Security Officer (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary Guidelines: The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for providing campus safety services to the university community, which includes enforcing university regulations, vehicle and traffic laws, local, state and federal laws. Providing emergency response on campus and protecting life and property within the Clarkson community. In addition, the Campus Safety Officer/ Staff engage in outreach and communication efforts to women and/or underrepresented student groups on campus around issues of alcohol consumption, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment and bias-related conduct.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma required. New York State driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University.

Range: $16.50 based on experience
