Clarkson University’s Horizons Program is a six-day overnight camp that aims to create a supportive community of peers that leads campers toward exploring a wide variety of STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics). Horizons Program Assistants (PAs) will work closely with Clarkson University faculty and staff to help equip school-age participants with the necessary tools to begin their STEAM journey and to better position high school students to attend college and prepare them for STEAM careers. Through fun and challenging hands-on projects, Horizons PAs play an essential role in delivering the Horizons curriculum to more than 100 campers.
The Horizons Program will take place from July 13-18, 2025, at Clarkson’s Hill Campus in Potsdam, NY. Horizons PAs will begin their in-person duties on July 11 and will earn $15.50 per hour. Successful applicants will need to attend up to three, 2-hour online training sessions between May 1 and June 30. PAs will be provided room and board and may be required to stay in dormitory housing with the campers, if necessary.
