I am excited to communicate that Dr. Stephen Standifird will be joining Clarkson University as Interim Dean of the Reh School of Business upon the departure of Dean Bebonchu Atems.

Dr. Standifird most recently served as the President of Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Prior to Bradley, Dr. Standifird served as the dean of the Lacy School of Business at Butler University and as the dean of business at the University of Evansville’s Schroeder Family School of Business.
Dr. Standifird’s early academic career was at the University of San Diego where he taught strategic management and served as the business school’s first Director of Undergraduate Programs and then as the Associate Dean of Graduate and Professional Programs.
Steve has a PhD in Organization Studies from the University of Oregon, an MBA from Northwestern University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Standifird worked as an environmental specialist and HR representative at Chicago-based Amoco. He is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys spending time with his wife Vivian, daughters Sorana (15) and Brianna (11), and their dog Ivy.
I am grateful to faculty and staff in the Reh School of Business who assisted in interviewing candidates for this important transition position. Their involvement helped identify this outstanding new colleague.
Dr. Standifird will begin in his role on campus on July 7. Please join me in welcoming him to beautiful North Country New York.
