What is NSF I-Corps?

NSF I-Corps is a nationally recognized program designed to equip innovators with the tools and mentorship needed to explore the commercial potential of their ideas. Through hands-on learning and expert guidance, participants gain real-world experience in customer discovery—a vital skill for any aspiring entrepreneur, innovator, or researcher.

Why Join the Program?

  • Explore the real-world potential of your idea – connect with potential customers early in the development process to lead to greater chances of commercialization success.
  • Get funding to support your customer discovery research efforts, which may include conference travel or market database access.
  • Enhance your resume. I-Corps is widely recognized in the STEM and business fields.
  • Increase your chances of securing state/federal grants for continued research or business development.
  • Access up to $50K in funding if selected for the national I-Corps program (national program teams are required to be STEM focused).
