Counselor I (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Counselors and Therapists, are you looking for a position with creative and enthusiastic co-workers in a supportive work setting, and no insurance billing? Clarkson University’s Counseling Center is hiring master’s-level, licensed professionals to join our team. Responsibilities include individual and crisis counseling for enrolled students as well as education and outreach to promote wellness. The benefits of working in a University setting are numerous, including manageable caseloads, access to on-campus facilities, comprehensive benefits, and free tuition for employees and their dependents. Staff counselors work an 11-month schedule with a 1-month summer break.

Minimum qualifications:  Minimum of a master degree in mental health counseling related field, or PhD/PsyD in clinical psychology. Licensed or license eligible in the state of New York to practice mental health counseling. Experience/interest in working as part of an integrated health team

Range: $55,000- $59,750 based on experience

International Graduate Admissions Counselor (Latham, NY)

Position Summary: Graduate Admissions Counselor is the primary point of contact for prospective international students from their initial interest until they are accepted into one of Clarkson’s academic programs. The counselor guides interested prospects through the application process, and actively communicate with prospects to assure exceptional service. Internally, the counselor maintains records of all interactions, and manages related systems and processes and application processes. The position may require some evening and weekend work, flexible hours and occasional travel.

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required. 1 year, preferably in a sales, customer service, or other higher education role

Range: $18.00- $20.50 based on experience

Director of Cheel Arena (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: The director is responsible for the planning, organization and supervision of the Cheel Campus Center/Arena and related programs. The director will contribute to the master plan, comprehensive plan and capital repair and replacement schedule. The individual must provide exceptional leadership and direction of facility and work well in a team oriented environment. Directly responsible for all facets of operation of Cheel Arena

Minimum qualifications:  BA/BS required. The Arena director has no established hours , yet is required to invest the time necessary to produce exceptional results. Must have  3-5 year’s experience in sales and marketing and/or related sports management field.  The successful candidate will have outstanding writing and verbal communications skills, a team oriented attitude, and strong work ethic.  Applicant must excel at dealing with the general public and be comfortable with sales related duties.  Individual must be proficient with computer program’s such as Excel, Publisher & Word.  Individual must be organized, very self-motivated, be able to multi-task, handle pressure situations with minimal supervision.  Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University.  Must be willing to work weekends.

Range: $60,500- $62,000 based on experience

Horizon Camps Summer Staff (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Horizons Overnight STEAM Camp, July 11-19, 2025. All positions are on site and overnight unless released from the site by the Camp Director. Positions Needed:

Camp Health Director oversees with support and direction of the Camp Director

Required: may be a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, emergency medical technician

must live sight be on-site

Rate: $40 an hour

Health Designee Staff Member

Must be onsite 12pm-8pm

required may be a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, emergency medical technician

Rate: $25 an hour

Program Assistant

Current Clarkson University student who is interested in mentoring and inspiring junior and senior

high school youth for two weeks during the summer

Rate:$15.50

Minimum qualifications: Must pass background check
