Potsdam Campus WiFi – Access for Guests and Others

Each year Clarkson welcomes thousands of guests to our beautiful Potsdam campus. While visiting the many academic, athletic, residential, administrative, research and other indoor spaces, guests are treated to free high speed wireless Internet (WiFi) via a public WiFi network.

When guests are visiting the Clarkson campus, please point them to ClarksonGuest as the publicly available WiFi for guests. Connection speed is suitable for staying in touch while on campus. As with all public WiFi networks, use caution when connecting as they may expose your data to security risks.

For everyone else, including students, faculty and staff, Eduroam is faster, safer WiFi on the Potsdam campus. See tutorial for help with connecting to Eduroam or ClarksonGuest.

Service Update:

ClarksonUniversity was previously the WiFi network used by guests and members of the Potsdam campus.

Beginning in August 2025, ClarksonUniversity will be deactivated. In its place, guests will choose ClarksonGuest for WiFi access, and everyone else should choose Eduroam.

Current campus members may experience an interruption in service on devices as the ClarksonUniversity network is deactivated. Avoid interruptions and get started with Eduroam today!

This update has been made possible through updates in network hardware and security protocols completed by the Office of Information Technology during the Summer 2025 project season.
