The Institute for STEM Education at Clarkson University is inviting faculty and instructional staff to apply for the Donald C. Clark Teaching Innovation grant program. The award provides $1,500 to support the development of innovative teaching methods and tools to improve teaching effectiveness.
The funded projects will be conducted and implemented during the 2025-2026 academic year. Proposals should focus on developing and piloting innovative teaching methods, have clear outcomes and assessment methods, and be designed and implemented in the 2025-2026 academic year.
To be eligible, applicants must be full-time faculty or instructional staff at Clarkson University. They must also have participated in three education-focused professional development activities or have conducted a thorough literature review to support their idea. For this cycle, the professional development requirement can be met by March 31, 2026.
A bonus incentive is also available. If a journal article is published or a conference presentation results from the funded work by June 15, 2027, the Institute for STEM Education will provide an additional $1,000 for conference travel or $500 for publication fees.
