As the new semester begins, Facilities & Services (FAS) would like to take a moment to remind the campus community—and inform our new students, staff, and faculty—about how we handle submitted work orders.
The start of the semester is always a busy time. With students returning to campus and spaces being prepared for classes and residence, our system receives a high volume of requests. We kindly ask for your patience over the next few weeks as we work through this influx and strive to make all campus spaces comfortable and functional.

Our regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. However, we do have staff available after hours. For critical issues outside of regular hours, you can:

How Work Orders Are Prioritized
Non-emergency work orders are handled based on available resources and priority, which is determined through discussions between department liaisons and FAS Management. Each weekday at 8:15 a.m., the FAS team meets with various campus groups to review open work orders and establish priorities. Even beyond the busy semester startup, our campus’s size and complexity mean requests come in continuously. We balance these requests with the daily operations and preventative maintenance tasks that also require attention.
