The Counseling Center will be offering a group for students who have experienced trauma in the past and are looking to learn some new skills in dealing with their emotions.  This group is NOT a process group, so students will not be discussing their trauma, rather exploring how they cope with challenging emotions and learning and practicing new skills to mange feelings in a healthier way.  The group is called STAIR, and is a research-informed approach to working with students with trauma in their past that our staff have become trained/certified in using.

Interested students can contact SHAC.  They will be scheduled to meet with the group facilitator individually so she can share more information about the group with them, help them know what to expect, and answer any questions they may have. The group will start October 9, so interested students are encouraged to reach out ASAP so we can meet and they can decide if this is a good fit for them.
