Capt. Jonathan Crocker has been appointed assistant professor of air force science at Clarkson University.
He holds both a bachelor of science degree in finance and economics and an MBA from the University of Wyoming.
His military education includes basic and advanced individual training, primary leadership development courses, an aircraft maintenance officer course and squadron officer school.
Crocker was commissioned through the Air Force Academy of Military Sciences in 2011 and was assigned as a reserve officer in the 153rd Maintenance Squadron with the Wyoming Air National Guard (WYANG). Prior to this assignment, he served in active duty for the Army before joining the WYANG in 2006 and working as a paralegal while he completed his degrees at the University of Wyoming. In his civilian capacity, he is a large bank risk specialist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
His deployments include 2004 to Samara Iraq and 2009 to Baghdad Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as 2017 to Al Udeid AB in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel as the 379th EMXS Operations Officer.
His awards and decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Award with two oak leaf clusters, the Valorous Unit Award and the Meritorious Unit Award.
