COVID-19 Read: Updated information on Vaccine Policy

Clarkson Community,

As of this past week, both New York State and the CDC have updated guidance for individuals who have been fully vaccinated (defined as two weeks after their second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine).

Click here to read the CDC’s full updated guidance and here to read the NYS guidance. The CDC guidance addresses activities and behaviors that the CDC recommends for those who are fully vaccinated. NYS has issued new quarantine guidance for vaccinated individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19, too. There are also updated procedures for fully vaccinated members of the Clarkson community who have been exposed to COVID-19, per the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department.

The Clarkson Commitment remains an important element of our COVID-19 response plan.  Everyone at the University is still required to wear face masks indoors and practice social distancing as part of the health and safety measures when outside your immediate family unit.

Students can now upload a picture of their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card on myCU after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or after a single-dose vaccine. On myCU, navigate to the Knight Hub, select the “COVID Vaccine Proof” tile, type the date of the final dose received, and upload a picture of the front of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card with all information visible.

Student workers, as employees in higher education, are eligible for vaccination

As more students become eligible for the vaccine, we will further coordinate updates with our public health experts. For more information or to ask questions, please contact StudentAffairs@Clarkson.Edu.
