Clarkson Hockey Works With Shipley Center Startup to Fuel Teams

Enduraphin, a startup revolutionizing on-the-go sports nutrition founded by a Clarkson grad, is teaming up with Clarkson Hockey to fuel the Golden Knights. Clarkson recently received its first shipment of the protein drinks. Members of the men’s and women’s hockey teams helped unload the product that will help them properly fuel their bodies after workouts, practices, and games.

Enduraphin was founded by Danny Drake and Mike Dalberth, both are graduates of Cicero North Syracuse High School. After graduating high school, the pair went off to college and saw a problem in the growing sports nutrition market. It was near impossible to find a product that achieved both quality and convenience in on-the-go sports nutrition. Danny, a 2016 Engineering and Management Grad from Clarkson, and Mike took their problem to the Shipley Center for Innovation at Clarkson University and began developing solutions and presenting across the country.

“The Shipley Center allowed us to take a problem we faced, see if it was a problem others faced, and then develop a solution. We worked on marketing, pitched in business plan competitions, attended 3 day startup, and got connected to a patent attorney to file our product,” said Danny Drake, co-founder of Enduraphin.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Mike and Danny for a few years now and I am really excited about their product, the ingredients in their product, the delivery system, and what it will provide for our athletes. Purchasing a product I believe in from a great company is nice but what makes this so special is that Enduraphin was started here at Clarkson and I have been able to watch as Mike and Danny have put their heart and soul into getting Enduraphin rolling.  Danny and Mike have been phenomenal to work with and have done a great job of connecting with and listening to professionals while they developed the Enduraphin brand,” said Tad Johnson, Clarkson Hockey’s Strength & Condition Coach.

“In today’s highly competitive athletic landscape, it’s important to properly feed your body after putting it to work. Protein, specifically Whey Protein, has been studied and proven to support athletic recovery when consumed shortly after a workout,” Drake said. “We have developed an all-natural Whey Protein product that athletes can easily access post workout.”
