TOPIC: Research at Los Alamos National Lab – a focus chemistry, life, and earth sciences
Guest speaker Dr. Jennifer Harris from Los Alamos National Lab (LANL) will be visiting the Potsdam Hill Campus Tuesday May 2nd. She will talk about research at LANL in chemistry, life, and earth sciences, with a focus on her own work in bioengineering. Dr. Harris is one of the leaders of bioengineering at LANL, specializing in creating laboratory-based artificial organs designed to be better preclinical test platforms than animals. She has led work to integrate a miniaturized surrogate human organ system that includes the heart, liver, and lung.
Her seminar will be May 2nd at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with light snacks offered, located in Snell Hall 212 lecture hall.
