Please welcome Pat Gagnon as Clarkson’s Director of Campus Safety & Security.
Pat Gagnon will be serving as the Director of Campus Safety & Security at Clarkson while maintaining his current position at St. Lawrence University as the Assistant Vice President of Safety & Security and Emergency Management.
Pat is no stranger to Clarkson. He first started working at Clarkson in 1984 on the Grounds crew. He remained at Clarkson until 1997, working in Shipping & Receiving, Campus Safety & Security, and SAS along the way. In 1997, Pat left Clarkson to work at St. Lawrence University as a Security Officer in the Safety & Security Department. He has been at St. Lawrence University ever since and now serves as their Assistant Vice President of Safety & Security and Emergency Management. Pat has been in the role of Assistant Vice President of Safety & Security and Emergency Management since 2015.
Pat holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice Leadership from Empire State College, a Certification in Homeland Security Level III, Certification in Incident Command System 300, is a Licensed Private Investigator, is a NYS Certified Trainer in the Security Officer Program, and is a respected consultant in the university safety & security field having performed safety/security audits upon request, complex investigations and working with high-end surveillance equipment. He is a lifelong resident of the area and in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
We are looking forward to this collaborative approach to Campus Safety and Security services between the two universities. Pat will be a great asset to our team and we look forward to him sharing his leadership services for safety, security, and emergency management at Clarkson.
