All Faculty:
Higher education research institutions have been recently notified from National Institutes of Health (NIH) advising that threats to the integrity of U.S. biomedical research exists. There is evidence that some foreign entities have attempted to influence NIH researchers and peer reviewers. The areas of concern include: intellectual property, sharing of confidential information on grant applications by peer reviewers and failure by researchers to disclose substantial resources from organizations, including foreign governments.
We will inform faculty with NIH awards as we hear and know more in the near future about the next steps NIH will be taking and how that may impact Clarkson’s awards, reporting, and policies or personnel.
Please feel free to contact Sponsored Research Services at srs@clarkson.edu, or x6475 with any questions or concerns you have.
