To all members of the Clarkson Community:
We hope you have been enjoying your first few days back! Now that we are all getting settled back into the routine of the semester, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that all vehicles operated or parked anywhere on campus must be registered with the Campus Safety and Security Office. Students must pick up a new registration sticker at our office in ERC 1200 on a yearly basis. Vehicles with expired or missing registration stickers are considered unregistered and may be fined. New vehicles can be registered here. If your vehicle has been registered previously and your vehicle information has not changed, you can simply come to the Campus Safety and Security Office to pick up your new registration sticker. Our office is open 24/7/365, and we do our best to make registering your vehicle as quick and convenient as possible.
To ensure Clarkson regulations and local and state laws regarding vehicle use are followed by all members of the community, the Campus Safety and Security Office is tasked with enforcing these laws and regulations on campus. In keeping with this task, Campus Safety and Security Officers will be conducting a parking enforcement detail this Friday, 9/8, with the goal of ensuring that all vehicles on campus are registered and in compliance. We ask that all community members, if they have not already done so, please take this opportunity to make certain that your vehicle is properly registered and parked. Any vehicles that are unregistered will be subject to both institutional fines and a DMV records check at the cost of the registered owner of the vehicle. If you are unsure where to park, you can view our updated parking brochure here. Parking is prohibited at all times in fire lanes, service areas, lawns, and walkways.
It is our hope that in providing this information, we are able to give all of our community members the tools they need to be sure they are abiding by university regulations regarding vehicle usage.
