CAMP Catalyst Discussions

CAMP is again hosting the CAMP Catalyst Discussions during the fall semester. Three separate Discussions will be held, the first being on Thursday, October 5. The CAMP Catalyst Discussions are informal discussions that highlight the research and educational activities in materials (broadly defined) and aim to increase interactions/collaborations between faculty and look for synergies and research funding opportunities. 

1. Thursday, October 5, 2023: Topic: NSF-Industry Collaborations: Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP) Directorate, GOALI, STTR/SBIR Programs, Discussion leaders: Silvana Andreescu (Professor, Chemistry & Biomolecular Science) and Cetin Cetinkaya (Professor, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering) 
Are you interested in the NSF Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP) Directorate, GOALI, STTR/SBIR ProgramsCome join us (in person) in CAMP372 between 12-1 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, for the first CAMP Catalyst Discussion for the fall semester. 

Register by 12 pm Tuesday, October 3 using the Google Form link https://forms.gle/xgCaFGbVMSAnnTVk8 (so that we know the number for the light lunch that will be served.)

3. Thursday, November 9, 2023: Topic: Opportunities in Materials Research with Defense & Security Applications, Discussion leaders: Marcias Martinez (Professor, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering) and Craig Merrett (Associate Professor, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering)
