Campus Safety and Security Officer (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  Participate in a variety of safety and security activities on the Clarkson University campuses; conduct foot and vehicular patrols of the campuses, secure buildings, respond to emergencies, assist in traffic control and parking enforcement, confront violations of University Regulations, assist external law enforcement and/or public service agencies as required in campus related incidents. Prepare written investigative reports of all incidents on campus.

Minimum qualifications   High School Diploma required. New York State driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University.

Range: $16.00- $17.50 salary based on experience

Sophomore Academic Advisor (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary:  Support students’ academic development. Establish and maintain accurate student records to ensure efficient progress toward degree completion. Support recruitment and retention efforts of the University. Develop and implement advising processes for continuous improvement.

Minimum qualifications  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 5 years of directly related experience in undergraduate student advising.

Range: $27.25- $34.33 salary based on experience

School of Business Student Support Center (Potsdam, NY)

Assistant/ Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: The Assistant/Associate Director of Admission will report to and work closely with the Assistant VP of Enrollment to develop and implement admission goals and strategies. The ADA will maintain primary responsibility for all University goals related to the recruitment of students and providing regional oversight for the Office of Enrollment. The ADA will design, implement and administer appropriate procedures to make the transition of these students to Clarkson as seamless as possible. The ADA is responsible for contributing to the overall recruiting efforts of the University, including planning and implementing procedures and projects for attracting and matriculating a diverse and talented new-student class. The Assistant/Associate Director travels at least 12-16 weeks throughout the recruiting cycle. This position is located in Potsdam, NY.

Minimum qualifications  Bachelor’s degree required with a masters preferred. 4-6 years’ experience in admissions recruiting, sales, or customer service. A valid driver’s license is required.

Range: $22.56 – $30.76 based on experience

Safety Manager (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: This position is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local government regulations and Clarkson University safety standards. They conduct safety trainings, monitor compliance, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement. They also communicate guidelines to employees, report on health and safety issues, and develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace. Their focus is on promoting occupational health and safety and minimizing risks for employees. The position is highly customer service oriented, self-motivated, and operates with minimal oversight.

Minimum qualifications  Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years or more experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health Science, or closely related field.  New York State driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University. 5-7 years of progressive field safety experience. OSHA 30-hour Construction or General Industry Outreach training and certification. Certified Code Enforcement Official

Range: $25.64- $28.20 based on experience
