Fire Pit Safety Project Challenge!

Calling all clubs and students! We need your help with a hands-on project to solve a critical problem regarding fire safety in the Clarkson Woods. See detailed description here.

For this project you can expect:

– Collaboration with the ISE, Clarkson Forest Task Force, and engineering/construction experts on campus
– Guidance from undergraduate student interns at the ISE to connect you with resources on campus
– Autonomy over your design and implementation of your solution

Prizes for Selected Participants:

– A picnic lunch in the Clarkson Woods that is organized and funded by the ISE. We will celebrate the success of our project together around the fire pits that we worked hard to protect!
– Teams also have the option to enter their design at the Ignite Project Expo, where they have the chance to win further prizes.

This is a great opportunity to give back to your campus community and leave your mark at Clarkson by building something that students will utilize for years to come. These fire pits hold social value to students, so let’s work to keep it a part of our campus life!
