In the next few weeks, you have much to do to ensure success this semester and prepare for enrollment for next semester.
Mid-term Grades are accessible now by logging into myCU; click on Academics in the left menu; then Grades. Midterm Grades listed will be “S” (performing at “C” or higher), “U” (performing at less than “C”), or “N” (insufficient information available for grading). Please take the time to review the feedback provided by your course instructors, and be sure to discuss any problems with that faculty member and/or your advisor when you meet in the next couple weeks.
Your Final Exam Schedule is also available in myCU now. Click on the “Academics” tab at the top of your dashboard in myCU. Here, you should be able to see blocks of information that include your exam information. You can also view your exams directly from your calendar by clicking on the “Class Information” tab on the left side panel and clicking “Schedule”. From your calendar, you should be able to navigate to finals week (April 30th – May 6th) to see your scheduled exams (make sure the “Class Exams” box is checked at the top of your calendar). You can also choose “list view” by clicking the icon in the top right corner and clicking on the “Class Exams” tab.
All students should examine their schedule carefully. As stated in Clarkson’s Regulations, III-H Final Examinations #4, no student may be required to take more than three final examinations in one day, or more than four in two consecutive days. Students with exam conflicts, or who have more exams in a period than allowed by the regulations, must follow the instructions listed in the regulations to make arrangements with faculty.
The Enrollment Shopping Cart is available beginning Thursday, March 13: Undergraduates will be able to use the Shopping Cart to plan for enrollment. Add courses to your Shopping Cart to validate your preferred schedule. Validation will let you know of any errors you can anticipate encountering when actual enrollment begins.
Enrollment for summer and fall begins on Wednesday, April 2: Each student is assigned an enrollment appointment – a time and date enrollment will be accessible to you. Students are assigned appointments based on their projected academic level (example: If you are currently a freshman, and will be a sophomore next semester, you will have an enrollment appointment on the same day as the other sophomores). It is your responsibility to check myCU for your enrollment appointment and enroll using Schedule Builder under the “Enrollment” tab on the left side panel of your myCU dashboard.
This is what you should be doing now to prepare:
-Log into myCU to view your current mid-term grades and your Degree Progress Report prior to meeting with your advisor (you can find your Degree Progress Report under the “Academics” tab on the left side panel of your dashboard).
-Make an appointment to meet with your academic advisor. Your advisor’s contact information can be found under the “Academics” tab on the left side panel of your dashboard.
-Check myCU for your Enrollment Appointment (this specifies the day and time you can begin enrolling in classes, it is NOT the same as the appointment you make with your academic advisor).
-Check and resolve any Holds (these will be reflected on your dashboard upon logging into myCU).
-Review the Class Schedule and become familiar with the class search tools in myCU.
-Monitor your Clarkson email for important information.
