A reminder to report your professional experience!!

This is a reminder to report your professional experience on Handshake now! All students are required to complete at least one form of professional experience (internship, co-op, research, etc.) during their time in undergrad. Don’t wait! Submit yours to Handshake now. Still looking? Come see us! We have appointment blocks on Handshake and open hours Tuesdays through Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm.

Log in to Handshake and navigate to the Career Center Tab. Select Experiences, then click Request an Experience. Application Review Process: Once submitted, Handshake will notify your academic department for review. Your department will assess whether the experience meets your graduation requirements (duration, industry relevance, and alignment with your major). Supervisor Approval: An email will be sent to your supervisor requesting approval of the experience. Following supervisor approval, your department will make the final decision to approve or request modifications to your experience. Final Approval: If approved, you may proceed with your experience. If adjustments are needed, you will be asked to review and resubmit for approval. Important Reminders: Report your experience before your start date. This is especially crucial for co-op students, as it initiates the leave of absence process. For co-ops and internships, you must submit your offer letter as a part of your experience request.
