Clarkson University will once again stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault by participating in Denim Day — a powerful, international movement that began in 1999. The day was established after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction because the survivor was wearing tight jeans, implying consent. People around the world wear denim on this day to challenge harmful myths and support survivors.

This is an all-day event taking place in the Student Center Multi-Purpose Rooms, packed with powerful presentations, engaging activities, and critical resources focused on awareness, prevention, and support.
What to Expect:
- Presentations begin at 9:00 AM on a variety of topics related to consent, survivor support, and prevention education.
- Resources will be available throughout the day from campus and community partners.
- Decorate your own denim! Bring your denim items to personalize and contribute to the visual movement.
- Raffles and giveaways will take place during the event.
- Denim Day-themed engagement activities to build awareness and create conversation.
Don’t miss the University Photo at 12:00 PM in the Student Center Forum to show our united stance against sexual assault. Wear your denim proudly!
Let’s come together as a campus to educate, advocate, and stand with survivors.
