The Clarkson login screen will soon be replaced with an updated version. Clarkson students, faculty and staff can get acquainted with the new version now by viewing the images below. The login screen is seen when accessing tools such as intranet.clarkson.edu, Gmail, Moodle and Peoplesoft.
Clarkson’s Office of Information Technology appreciates the community’s awareness of information security. An unfamiliar login screen can be a sign of a phishing attack. By sharing a preview of this updated version now, we aim to avoid surprise and concern. See tips below for spotting a fake login screen.
The new look aligns with Clarkson brand fonts and includes updated icons. The new version will launch in late June 2025.

How To Spot a Fake Login Screen:
- Be watchful for phishing attacks. If an email asks you to login to view a document, be suspicious. Instead of using the link in the email, go directly to the service (like GMail (https://gmail.com or Google Docs https://docs.google.com) and login that way instead.
- Pay attention to warnings in the address bar of your browser. Such warnings are often in bold red lettering and warn you of a site that is “not secure”, that “Your connection is not private” or caution of a “Potential Security Risk Ahead”.
- Verify the spelling of the site. For Clarkson, the “host” part is always clarkson.edu. Watch for close-match misspellings!
- Check for misspellings in the text, incorrect colors or graphics. These can all be indicators of an attempt at copying Clarkson’s login page.
- If you’re not sure or something just seems off – call us! A HelpDesk representative will be happy to help make sure you’re logging into a safe and secure site.
