It is both a joyful and bittersweet moment as we announce the upcoming retirement of Loretta Driskel at the end of this month. For the past eight years, Loretta has been a key member of our Clarkson team as a Senior Instructional Designer with the Teaching and Learning Corner in the Office of Information Technology. Prior to that Loretta served as a consultant at Union Graduate College, and made the transition to employee when the institutions merged in 2017. She has been pivotal in developing the Teaching and Learning Corner with an always present focus on putting the student first. We know her dedication for helping faculty create beautiful courses for their students to experience.
Beyond her many professional contributions, Loretta has been a trusted colleague and friend to many. Her willingness to mentor others, take on challenges, and ask tough questions has shaped our workplace in meaningful ways.
Loretta plans to remain active with Clarkson as a part-time consultant supporting development of microcredentials and other special projects within the TLC. While her presence in our day-to-day work will be missed, we are also excited to celebrate this new chapter with her.
Please join us in thanking Loretta for her years of service and in wishing her happiness, health, and fulfillment in retirement. Please post your well wishes on this Kudos Board. Think of the Kudos Board like you are signing the card in the office but better because you can add pics, gifs, notes and more – delivered across the miles!
