To improve the efficiency of fraud response and better support our end users, M&T Bank—the provider of our purchasing cards (P-cards)—will now contact cardholders directly regarding suspected fraudulent activity.
Moving forward, the M&T Bank Fraud Team will identify themselves and reach out to cardholders to resolve issues in real time. This change eliminates the need for our Purchasing Department to act as an intermediary, allowing for quicker resolution and uninterrupted card use.
If the charge is verified as legitimate, the card will be released for immediate use. If the transaction is determined to be fraudulent, the card will be promptly canceled and a replacement will be issued.
