Ali Boolani Receives Tenure and Promotion to Associate Professor at Clarkson University

Clarkson University President Tony Collins has announced that Ali Boolani has been granted tenure and promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of physical therapy in the School of Arts & Sciences.

Boolani concentrates his research on energy and fatigue, and his evolving research showing that they are two distinct moods. Boolani also focuses on finding better ways to independently measure energy and fatigue, while understanding their impact on function, to find ways to improve these moods.  He has authored more than 15 research papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals.

Boolani received both his Master’s and Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. He teaches exercise physiology in the Department of Physical Therapy and physiology in the Physicians Assistant Program. In addition, he teaches two research courses.

“I love the students at Clarkson,” Boolani said. “The students in health sciences are really special. They’re intelligent, mature and so much fun to work with. They challenge me every day to be on top of my game. They ask questions daily and I have to constantly be prepared to answer them. That’s what drives me to come to work every day. They push me to be better by asking me questions that push the envelope of my knowledge.”
