The web-based Academic Calendar serves as the official location of the dates pertaining to major academic events each year. The Academic Calendar contains things like the start/end dates of each term, breaks, grading due dates, and commencement dates, and is typically published four years in advance (when possible).
The Schedule of Academic Activities (Semester | Quarter) contains detailed milestone dates, such as session start/end dates, add/drop information, and important dates related to routine processes such as creating the schedule of classes, grading, or clearing students for graduation. The Schedule of Academic Activities is published each May for the upcoming academic year, and can be found on the SAS page in the intranet.
The dates from both of these sources are combined into a Google Calendar (gcal) which you can view on the web, or add as a second calendar to your own account (by clicking the plus sign at the bottom of the calendar).
