Christopher LaPoint Appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at Clarkson University

Christopher L. LaPoint has been appointed clinical assistant professor of physician assistant studies at Clarkson University.

He previously served as an adjunct professor at Clarkson; a physician assistant in family medicine and physician assistant hospitalist at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center; and a physician assistant in dermatology/surgery at St. Lawrence Surgery.

LaPoint has served as a preceptor to students from the Clarkson PA program as well as the program at SUNY Upstate. 

A Potsdam area native, he received his bachelor of science degree in physician assistant studies from Rochester Institute of Technology and his bachelor of arts in clinical and child psychology from Alfred University. LaPoint is a licensed physician assistant in New York State.
