Clarkson’s Sustainable Synergy and TerrApparel, a student startup, are partnering for a performance textile collection for damaged performance textile products from October 16th-18th in the Student Center from 11am-1pm, or by drop off at CUSA, E&M Room in Snell, or Quad RA Office during normal hours. TerrApparel is exploring a new business model of performance textile restoration, both for return-to-owner and for resale online and in outdoor markets. To test this new concept, they are partnering with Clarkson’s own Sustainable Synergy club to collect as many products as possible. Therefore, if you have any textile-based outdoor gear or clothing that is broken, please participate! No defect is too small or large!
With that said, they can not accept anything that touches skin directly, including base layers, underwear, and socks. Thermal and waterproof products are encouraged, and wicking mid-layers will also be accepted.
If you have questions on what we will and won’t accept, please email Matt at matt@terrapparel.co or Sustainable Synergy at synergy@clarkson.edu.
