Jianhua Zhang has been appointed assistant professor of electrical & computer engineering at Clarkson University.
She previously served as a postdoctoral research associate at the Power Systems Engineering Center, National Renewable Energy Laboratory; research assistant at Future Renewable Electric Energy Delivery and Management Systems Engineering Research Center at North Carolina State University; research assistant at Langmuir Laboratory at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology; and telecommunication engineer at Fujian Nokia Telecommunications Ltd.
Zhang received her Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from North Carolina State University, master of science in electrical engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, master of science in systems engineering from Xiamen University and bachelor of science in industrial automation from Jimei University.
Her research interests include power and energy systems, cyber-physical systems, smart grid communications, power system and network co-simulation, distributed optimization, power system state estimation, and microgrids.
Zhang has co-authored an invited book chapter for Cyber-Physical-Social Systems and Constructs in Electric Power Engineering.
She has published in Energies and IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, among other publications, as well as in conference papers and other presentations.
Zhang is a reviewer for IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, Annual IEEE Green Technologies Conferences, IEEE PES GID Grand International Conference and Exposition Asia 2019, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, Journal of Energy Engineering, and other publications.
She is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and IEEE Power and Energy Society.
