New York has more than 61,471 homeless people including 22,970 children that unlike us won’t be sleeping in warm cozy beds when the temperatures drop below freezing. Even $1 can make a difference and with just that you will help to provide food and clothing to those who urgently need it to survive this winter.
Donations will be used to provide care packages to assist the homeless populations throughout the winter. These care packages will include items such as warm socks, hats and gloves, first aid kits and much more. The care packages will also be tailored specifically for men, women, and children.
Feel free to come by and drop off any winter clothes, health care items or non-perishable food items. Drop-offs can be made on Friday, October 19 & 26 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in front of the Diversity & Inclusion Lounge.
Every 5 dollars raised gives one person warm socks, a winter hat and scarf.
Every 10 dollars raised gives one person warm socks, a winter hat, scarf, and a fleece blanket.
For only 20 dollars, one person will be gifted a full care package.
