Hello everyone,
The MSA representatives will be offering beautiful free hijabs (headscarves) in the student center from 11am- 3pm. Anyone who wishes to experience wearing a hijab can stop by to get a hijab and be helped to put it on.
Later in the evening, from 5-7pm in the Multipurpose Rooms, we will have a debriefing on the history of the hijab and a presentation of what a muslim woman wearing her hijab have to endure during her day. Muslim women Clarkson students will be telling their own personal stories about their decision to wear or not to wear a hijab in the US. Several brief videos explaining the reasons and history behind the hijab as well as videos depicting discrimination faced by women who choose to wear a hijab will be shown.
We hope to see a lot of people joining us to celebrate this day!
