Office of AccessAbility Services Welcomes Amy Dougan

The Office of AccessAbility Services (OAS) is excited to welcome Amy Dougan, OAS Coordinator, to Clarkson University. Amy joins the Clarkson family with 12 years of experience in assistive technology, program development, human services, and case management, as well as assisting individuals with a variety of disabilities. Amy earned a B.A. in Studio Art from SUNY Potsdam. As OAS Coordinator, Amy meets with students to discuss accommodations, assists students with exam scheduling, coordinates exam delivery from faculty to OAS, and communicates with faculty regarding exam changes and accommodations.

Amy joins OAS alongside Kelsey Pearson (Deso), Assistant Dean of Students for Accommodations and Conduct, who held the role of Director of Student Organizations and Student Center since August 2015. Kelsey transitioned to her new role during the Fall 2018 semester. As Assistant Dean of Students for Accommodations and Conduct, Kelsey meets with students to review documentation and determine eligibility to receive accommodations through OAS, communicates with the Clarkson community regarding accommodations, and assists the Dean of Students with investigating and adjudicating Code of Student Conduct violations. Kelsey continues to serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator.

Special thanks to Rae Mackey, Assistant to the Dean of Students, for going outside of her normal work responsibilities to assist OAS during the Fall 2018 semester while the office was short-staffed. Rae created green sheets, met with students, scheduled and coordinated exams, supervised student staff, and communicated with faculty. Rae’s support is a true testament to the Clarkson Values and Service Excellence.
