Clarkson University’s Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams highly successful seasons continue and both Golden Knights squads will be competing in Championship Tournaments this weekend.
The Clarkson Men will be battling for the ECAC Hockey Championship crown as they skate in Lake Placid this Friday and Saturday against Harvard, Cornell and Brown at the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena. The Knights face off against Harvard in semifinal round action on Friday at 7:30 p.m. With a victory over the Crimson, Clarkson would advance to the tournament championship game on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. against either Cornell or Brown.
Striving for its third consecutive National Championship, the Clarkson Women will be at the NCAA Frozen Four in Hamden, CT. The Golden Knights, who knocked off Boston College 2-1 in overtime in quarterfinal action at Cheel Arena, will take on Wisconsin on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the People’s United Center on the campus of Quinnipiac University. Cornell and Minnesota will play in the other Frozen Four semifinal contests. Friday’s winners will advance to the National Championship game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Clarkson University has ticket allotments for both the Men’s ECAC Hockey Championship weekend in Lake Placid and the Women’s Frozen Four in Hamden, CT. These tickets are only sold as a two-day package. If you would like single-day tickets please call the Lake Placid box office at 518-523-3330 for the men’s games, or the Quinnipiac University box office at 203-582-3905 for the women’s games.
The cost for the Men’s ticket package is $45. Clarkson has allotment for tickets in Section 1-5. The cut off for ticket purchases through the Cheel Arena box office will be Noon on Wednesday, March 20th. Students who wish to go, can get tickets at a discounted rate by calling the Lake Placid box office 518-523-3330.
