Clarkson University to Present Film: “Chasing the Dragon: An Opioid Epidemic”

On Tuesday, April 9th from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Clarkson’s Division of Health Sciences is sponsoring a video and panel discussion on the Opioid Epidemic. “Chasing the Dragon” is a documentary film depicting both the harsh reality of opioid addiction and the path toward addiction.

The film is intended to generate discussion among the community and to educate the public about prescription drug and heroin abuse and overdose.

The film will be screened in the Student Center Forum on April 9 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with individuals impacted by the opioid epidemic—police and correctional officers, family members, a recovering addict, community educators, and more will share their perspectives.

This event is co-sponsored with the St. Lawrence County Department of Public Health and the Clarkson University Department of Physical Therapy.
