Clarkson University’s Common Book Project Committee seeks faculty facilitators to lead first-year students in a discussion of The Devil’s Highway by Luis Alberto Urrea during New Student Orientation.
The book discussion will take place from 3:45-4:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 31st in groups of 20-30 students. If you sign up, I will send you a free copy of the book! The entire commitment of becoming a discussion facilitator will consist of reading the book, attending an optional one-hour discussion training, and facilitating the one-hour discussion. You will even be provided with optional discussion questions to use!
These discussions are a great way to interact with and get to know students before the academic year officially begins. Please email me at studentlife@clarkson.edu to express your interest in being a discussion leader.
