Goldwater Scholarship Info Session

Dr. Jon Goss, Director of Clarkson Honors Program & School, and Karyn Crispo, Clarkson’s new Associate Director of Scholarship Preparation, will be holding an information session regarding the Goldwater Scholarship this coming Friday, September 13, from 3:00-4:00pm.  The session will be held in Price Hall Classroom, Room 2001. 
“The Goldwater award provides scholarship support to undergraduate students majoring in the natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics who intend to pursue research careers in these fields. The award provides support for tuition, room and board, books, and fees.  The award is open to sophomores and juniors.  Sophomores who win the scholarship receive up to $7,500 in each of the junior and senior years; juniors who win the scholarship receive up to $7,500 in their senior year. The award is open to US Citizens and Permanent Residents of the US with intent to become citizens.”  The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0, though the average GPA of award recipients is 3.9.
