James Greene has been appointed assistant professor of mathematics at Clarkson University.
He received his Ph.D. and master of science degrees in mathematics from the University of Maryland, and his bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Pennsylvania State University.
Greene’s research interests are in applications of mathematics to biological and medical science; evolution of cancer; drug resistance in chemotherapy; control and optimal control theory; ordinary, partial, and integro- differential equations; applied probability and stochastic processes; systems biology; and synthetic biological circuits.
He has co-published in the Proceedings of IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics, Synthetic Biology, Cancer Research, and Journal of Theoretical Biology, among other publications, and seminar and conference presentations.
Greene is a member of the Society for Mathematical Biology, Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and American Mathematical Society.
He previously served as the Hill Assistant Professor at Rutgers University.
