Please join the Climate and Engagement Committee as they host Tanya Odom for a meet and greet with the Clarkson Community.
Our keynote speaker: Tanya Odom is a Global Consultant and Coach in New York, NY who is a diversity and inclusion, equity, and civil rights thought leader. She brings over 20 years of experience in over 40 countries working in education, private sector/corporate, not-for-profit/NGO, law enforcement, and universities/colleges.
The focus of the ADVANCE grant is to “broaden the implementation of evidence-based systemic change strategies that promote equity for STEM faculty in academic workplaces and the academic profession.” At Clarkson, we aim to (1) reduce implicit or unintentional bias associated with gender, race, and ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, and country of origin, (2) support inclusive leadership and professional development,and (3) promote sustainability of systemic efforts through university-wide structural changes.For further information, or to participate in future ADVANCE Grant events, please contact advance@clarkson.edu.
