NSF Information from SRS

Dear Clarkson Community:

Some of you may have heard directly from the National Science Foundation (NSF) that effective October 5, 2020 only NSF-approved formats may be used for the biographical sketch (biosketch) and the current & pending (C&P) documents uploaded for proposals. There are two formats currently approved to create biosketches and C&P documents: (1)  SciENcv: Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae and (2) an NSF Fillable PDF document.

You can find additional information about this new requirement below and on the SRS Proposal Preparation & Submission intranet site.

Check out the following YouTube Videos from SciENcv

If your plans include submitting an application to NSF on or after October 5, what can you do to prepare?

·         Alert Todd Travis (ttravis@clarkson.edu) and Trish Lowney (plowney@clarkson.edu) of your plans

·         Check out NSF’s recently recorded webinar about this requirement and related information https://www.nsfpolicyoutreach.com/resources/april-2020-nsf-approved-formats-for-proposals/

·         Consider registering for a unique ORCID identifier (https://orcid.org/); records associated with your ORCID ID can be linked to SciENcv and help populate the forms.

·         For additional information, see the NSF pages for the biographical sketch (https://www.nsf.gov/bfa/dias/policy/biosketch.jsp)  and current and pending support. (https://www.nsf.gov/bfa/dias/policy/cps.jsp)

We look forward to helping you!
