Web Tools Wednesday Nov 4: Students Showcase Final Projects with VoiceThread

Nov 4 @ 12p: VoiceThread is a popular ed tech tool that allows students to build and share presentations online. Instructors and classmates have the opportunity to experience the presentation online while providing feedback within the VoiceThread tool for engagement and community building within the class setting. VoiceThread is available to faculty and students in the Clarkson community and is integrated in Moodle.

This week instructors can learn how to use VoiceThread to create a virtual poster session that students can view, comment on and share.  This creative assessment activity allows all students flexibility to bring their authentic voice to their work. Viewers engage virtually to provide feedback to their work which allows both online and on-campus students to engage around the same learning experience.

In addition to the tasks mentioned above, webinar will demonstrate how:

  • Others have used Voicethread to create virtual poster sessions
  • Set up a VoiceThread Assignment in Moodle
  • Provide instructions for students to ensure success
  • And more.
