Clarkson Ignite and the Shipley Center for Innovation are announcing the “Golden Knights Rise – Innovation Challenge”. This challenge is an opportunity for all Clarkson students to get creative, have some fun, and win great prizes during the precautionary quarantine period. The first challenge will be issued on Monday, February 15 at 8:00am and will continue for seven consecutive days – read on and then keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow for your first challenge!
How it works: Each day at 8:00am we will issue a new student challenge activity that is to be completed using only items found in rooms/suites/etc or what can be ordered and delivered to campus safely, if desired. Participating students will submit Flipgrid videos of 30 seconds or less by 7am the following day. Our judges will then have from 8:00am-11:30am to choose their favorite and email their pick to ignite@clarkson.edu – we’ll announce the winners at noon! Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded each day and will be based on creativity as determined by faculty and staff judges. The best part – you pick your prize from a selection of awesome items in the Prize Catalog and we’ll order it just for you!
Team Composition: It’s quarantine – so you can either compete individually OR you can pick one teammate to compete with – this person MUST be part of your immediate family unit (i.e. roommate/suitemate) and MUST remain the same for any challenge you participate in. Anyone breaking the rules of Team Composition will be disqualified. Prizes are individual and will be issued to each person in teams of two. This competition is open to ALL student – on campus, off campus, undergraduate students, graduate students, in Potsdam, or elsewhere – #LetsCURise!
