Chem-E-Car Team’s Personal Best
After winning the regionals in October, Clarkson’s Chem-E-Car team went on to perform better than they ever have at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ National Chem-E-Car Competition. They tied for third place this year, and their shoebox-sized car actually logged the best distance. READ MORE
Thagard Adds Feather to Cap
Professor Selma Mededovic Thagard’s excellence in research, teaching and innovation were recognized this past year with her appointment as the Richard J. ’50 and Helen March Endowed Professor. This is just one more feather in Thagard’s cap, as she is already a celebrated researcher who has received much federal and industry funding. READ MORE
Women Engineers Laud Alum
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has had a strong presence at Clarkson in the student chapter — and now, because of alumni accomplishments. Jayshree Seth MS’91, PhD’93 received the society’s highest award, the SWE Achievement Award, for her contributions to the field and to STEM advocacy. READ MORE
