The University places a high importance on the planning and maintaining of a beautiful campus, which includes the intentional management of our trees. If there is no risk to humans or campus structures, we let nature take its course. However, sometimes it is necessary for us to take action, removing dying and hazardous trees.
On Tuesday, April 20, we will begin the process of removing a tree near Foster House. This tree is being removed to address safety concerns involving the health of the tree and its proximity to the sidewalk and roadway. It will be necessary for us to block part of the sidewalk during this work. Please be careful while traveling around this area. Work should be complete by Friday.
