Clarkson University’s Beacon Institute is making a full commitment to the Dennings Point Campus, and will be moving the administrative headquarters from Main Street in Beacon, NY to the Dennings Point location. The move will be finished by the end of June.
“This move is a win-win for the community. It opens up high profile space in a great downtown location with excellent foot traffic where new retail businesses will thrive and contribute back to the downtown economic ecosystem,” said Executive Director Michael Walsh. “As construction continues on the new Beatrice G. Donofrio Environmental Education Complex and park visitorship continues to increase to take part in one of Beacon Institute’s K-12 STEM enrichment programs & Community Science events – Clarkson is doubling down on our natural laboratory for learning on the bank of the Hudson.”

True to its mission, the Beacon campus serves as both a research institute focused on healthy water solutions and a provider of educational services, including K-12, public and family and professional graduate programs.
The downtown location has held numerous classes, community events and exhibits in the past. These will continue at the Denning’s Point location when all renovations are completed.
