The following required updates have been scheduled to minimize impact to end-users. No impacts are anticipated for students and instructors in the Spring Quarter 2021 term. Instructors creating new Voicethread assignments for the Summer Quarter 2021, Summer 2021 and subsequent terms should note the modified experiences described below.

Action Required: None
What: On June 1, 2021, OIT will perform a required update to the Voicethread service which will result in a minor modification when adding a new Voicethread activity inside a Moodle course. Just as before, instructors will add Voicethread to their course using the External Tool in Moodle. After selecting Voicethread from the dropdown menu, instructors will click on the “Select Content” button beneath the External Tool Type menu. See Step #2 for more information.
On June 15, 2021, Voicethread’s New Assignments option will be turned on. This will offer a modified visual and grading experience for instructors and students. To learn more about Voicethread’s New Assignments features, tune in to:
