CU Connect – Mentors Wanted

Do you have an interest in meeting our new students and welcoming them as they begin their Clarkson experience?  CU Connect is a mentoring program where we match every first-year student with a campus community member.  Post-pandemic this programming is particularly important as students will be seeking and excited to connect for added support and guidance.

Please consider joining the team of mentors! As a CU Connect mentor you meet personally with a handful of students several times over the course of the fall semester. We use the College Student Inventory (CSI) to make meaningful matches so as to help you establish a “connection”. Your role is to review their summer survey (CSI) and to listen; provide support, connect them with resources and offer encouragement and guidance as necessary.

No experience required, just a desire to make a first-year student comfortable in our community!

Please fill out this SURVEY form if you are interested in volunteering and you can email ssc@clarkson.edu or call ext. 4394 if you have any questions.

Thank you for your interest in welcoming our incoming first year students.
