As a member institution of the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley, Clarkson enrolls students who cross register and/or take courses towards degree completion requirements across the three other campuses. We required all students who take courses at Clarkson in-person to follow our vaccination policy.
Yesterday evening, we sent faculty a request asking you to send students to our health center and dean of students when a student reports a positive case to you and when you have not received official notice from the dean. Please continue to do so.
As an update to last night’s message, we can confirm that this was one positive case from an individual who tested for COVID-19 at another institution and who proactively shared their positive status with their Clarkson faculty. That student will be in that institution’s case count and in our case count. They are also in contact tracing at more than one campus.
We appreciate everyone’s diligence on these matters.
