Clarkson Board of Trustees’ Investment Committee Hosting Brown Brothers Harriman on 10/14 – RSVP Appreciated

Clarkson University recently retained Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) as the principal investment advisor for the University’s Endowment Fund. BBH, a privately-held, global investment management firm founded in 1818, oversees approximately $64 billion in assets under management for its clients.

As the University’s principal investment advisor, BBH is responsible for implementing the University’s Investment and Spend Policy. The Investment and Spend Policy is continuously reviewed by the Board of Trustees as it dictates the risk profile of the Endowment and in turn the return expectations. The University’s Endowment is currently valued at approximately $230 million. The Board of Trustees has invited BBH to campus for their annual fall board meeting.

As a part of BBH’s visit, the Board of Trustees invites faculty and staff to join the Investment Subcommittee Chairperson Ray Skowyra P’11 and the BBH team to an open forum introducing BBH to faculty and staff with a presentation of the fund’s recent performance.

The Forum will take place at 4pm on Thursday, October 14. We are currently assessing the best venue to hold this session based on interest and anticipated attendance. Your early expressions of interest and RSVP by September 13, 2021 will help us determine where to hold the session. Please reply to: https://forms.gle/gaEazDjmeVivwxNr5

Thank you.
